Memories of Christopher Bugg
My brother, Chris, passed away on Sept. 9, 2011 after a very brief and devastating battle with liver cancer. We had within the past ten years made a habit of seeing each other more since we both lived in New England. In the summer he and I would sail my 34ft sloop along the coast of Mass. for several days on two or three occasions a year. We took a sail from New Bedford, MA to Cape Cod and Marthas Vinyard in June of 2011 and stayed out for six days. He seemed to be his old self and did not exhibit any indication of poor health. When I visited his home in July I thought he looked unwell and he said that a recent scan had found spots on his liver. I would have had difficulty in recognizing him only 30 days after our sailing. By the first week of Sep. he was hospitalized and failed very rapidly. Chris left a wife, Linda, from whom he had lived separately for five years and a daughter, Lindsey and son Nolan. His sudden passing was a great shock to me and his sister who were older by six and eight years. \r\n\r\nI believe Chris attended the fortieth reunion in 2010. I am very sorry to convey this bad news and hope that someone from class of 70 will forward the information to a more appropriate venue for that class. \r\n\r\nStuart Bugg\r\nClass of 64
